Dr. Charles Malek
Dr. Charles Malek is a molecular and cellular biologist with extensive experience in biomedical research, translational science, and therapeutic innovation. He obtained his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology/Oncology from the University of Lyon and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge and the Leibniz-FMP in Berlin. His scientific work has focused on cell signaling, phosphoinositide biology, endothelial biology, and disease-relevant mechanisms in oncology and vascular pathology. Beyond academia, Dr. Malek has experience in life-science strategy, biotechnology innovation, and R&D portfolio assessment, bridging scientific discovery with clinical and commercial translation. He is currently involved in developing novel therapeutic approaches targeting vascular protection and tissue injury mechanisms, with a particular interest in stroke and unmet medical needs
